Joint TCM/A Release Opioid Letter

Joint TCM/A Associations Release Opioid Letter to Ontario’s Minister of Health and Long-Term Care

In response to the letter released by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Care, concerning the growing opioid addiction problem in Ontario, The Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC), the Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (CSCMA), the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (ATCMPAO), and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Ontario (TCMO) working group united to release a joint letter to Ontario’s Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, the Honourable Eric Hoskins. The purpose was to collaborate in an effort to combat the current crisis of opioid addiction in the province.

Please read the letter that all of the TCM/A associations produced, to further advocate for TCM and Acupuncture as an alternative treatment to opioid use. The full letter to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care may be read by clicking HERE.
