安大略省政府致力于將傳統中醫專業的規管事務推動向前。

 

安省中醫師及針灸師管理局過渡委員會的注冊總監及各位委員正在制訂各項規章、標准及政策，以令管理局得以像安省其他醫療專業一樣行使職權。

 

對醫療行業實行規管的目的，在于保護公衆利益，並確保公衆對行醫者具有信心，知道給他們看病的行醫者為具備相應資格和技能的人士，並已符合在此行業行醫的相關標准。同時，規管也保障每個人都獲得安全、適當和遵從職業操守的服務。

“為了使病人可以相信他們所得到的服務是出自于符合嚴格標准的有技能、有資格人士，需要確保所有相關環節就位，整個過程需要相當的時間和努力。傳統中醫在安省民衆的醫療和健康方面有著極爲重要的地位及價值，因為很多人都在選擇這一服務作為輔助或替代醫療護理。我們正是依照這樣的精神，全心致力于規管這一行業。”

基本情況

 

·        安大略是加國第二個邁向中醫行業規管的省份，目前只有卑詩省對中醫實行規管。另外有兩個省，亞伯達和魁北克，只規管針灸行業。

·        中醫管理局過渡委員會負責為行業的管理制訂程序及框架，涉及領域包括注冊、質量保證、違反醫德事件及管理局事務等等。這樣一個制訂過程與安省現有二十一個其他醫療行業規管機構的初創過程並無區別。

Ontario Committed To Regulating Traditional Chinese Medicine

 

 

Ontario is committed to moving ahead with regulating the profession of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

 

The registrar and members of the transitional Council for the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario are working to develop regulations,

standards and policies that will allow this college to take its place among all the other health professions that are regulated in Ontario.

 

The purpose of regulating health professions is to protect the public interest and to ensure that the public can be confident that health practitioners providing care are qualified and competent and have met standards in order to practice. It also ensures that everyone receives safe, appropriate and ethical services.

QUICK FACTS

·       Ontario is the second jurisdiction in Canada to move to regulate TCM 

·       British Columbia is the only province to regulate the practise of TCM.

·       Two other provinces, Alberta and Québec, regulate the practice of acupuncture only. 

·       The TCM transitional Council is responsible for establishing the processes and framework for professional governance in areas such as registration, quality assurance, professional misconduct and college administration.

·       This process is no different from the process that the other 21 health regulatory colleges in Ontario went through when they started.

北美交流推廣中醫文化 廣東中醫慰問團

訪多義診 2011-8-22

受加拿大中醫藥針灸學會之邀，廣東省僑辦組織了一行7人的廣東省海外交流協會中醫專家慰問團，於昨日來到多倫多，為本地僑胞提供義診服務，並為本地近150名中醫界代表帶來大陸中醫發展的最新信息。此次到訪的廣東省海外交流協會中醫專家慰問團與本地專家作學術交流，得益非淺，也是十分珍貴難得的機會。中醫學術博大精深，希望將來能與西醫學術，相輔相成，以造福廣大的加拿大民眾。

一、论文的要求

论文务必主题鲜明，论据充分，资料确实，篇幅3000字左右，另附800字以内的论文摘要（以目的、方法、结果、结论形式选写。须写清作者姓名，国籍、工作单位，联系地址，邮政编码，联系电话，电子邮箱）。中文论文和摘要请附英文翻译稿。

二、论文发表

每位时限30分，加翻译（英、中、葡）时间，每位实际使用时间15分钟，其中5分钟为听众提问

时间，大会备有灯光，电脑投影设备，提供主讲者应用。

三、取消参会

若报名者因故无法出席大会，可与2011年9月30日至前，以文字形式通知会务组，大会在扣除20%手续费后，将余额退回报名者。

Thesis Paper Requirement
Well-argued thesis papers with a clear theme and ample supporting details are preferred. Word length: 3000 words or so. An attachment of 800-word abstract is suggested. (Abstract shall includes an introduction of the purpose, method, result and conclusion. Must be included are writers' full name, nationality, work unit, address, zip code, telephone number and e-mail).

 

Thesis Presentation (PPT)
Each presenter will be given 30 minutes, translation time (English, Chinese, Portuguese) included. Actual time available is 15 minutes with 5 minutes left for questions from the audience. Presenters will be provided with lighting facilities and computer projection equipment.

 

Cancellation of Participation
if the applicants could not attend the symposium, please inform the symposium preparatory panel in text form prior to September 30, 2011. The panel will deduct 20% of the fee and return the balance.

Exhibition Booth Arrangements
Booth Fee: USD 1,300 for each booth.
