Christmas Party
The Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada will be holding a Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 5, 2010, 6:30 pm at the Pearl of Asia Chinese Cuisine House (4438 Sheppard Ave. East, Scarborough, at the intersection of Sheppard and Brimley). The evening will offer an opportunity to personally meet with our president, Prof. Wei Ling Qiu, and the Board of Directors, followed by prize draws, gifts and fun entertainments. CMAAC members are invited to attend, and family and friends are more than welcome to join in the event! Tickets are $25 each, and space is limited, so please register by no later than Friday, November 5.

Dear CMAAC
The Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine would like to thank CMAAC for its encouragement and support in achieving its first milestones.
The Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (CCATCM) would like to announce that it has been approved as a career college with Canada and provincial student loan eligibility. This means that prospective students seeking a career in acupuncture who do not have private resources and who are living in a province that does not offer student loans, can now come to the queen city of Halifax in beautiful Nova Scotia, and enjoy both the benefits of student loan eligibility and an excellent education.
The College invites all prospective acupuncture students across Canada to go to its website www.AcupunctureCollege.ca and consider studying with CCATCM in beautiful Nova Scotia.
The president of CCATCM, Dr. Diana Tong Li who is also the president NS chapter of CMAAC, a member of CMAAC for 22 years, and long-time advocate of acupuncture education and acupuncture regulation in Atlantic Canada.
CCATCM is proud to have Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (GUCM) recognize its education standards and its instructors. CCATCM graduates can now apply for GUCM master’s and Ph.D. programs.
The agreement between CCATCM and GUCM also allows CCATCM to act as GUCM’s agent to enrol any CMAAC members who might qualify for these Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine masters and Ph. D. degree programs.
This agreement with GUCM is a first in Canada. It helps distinguish CCATCM as the first school in Atlantic Canada dedicated to acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine education.
